We’ve culminated our knowledge and experience into The Metcalf Method – an integrated approach that uses the right protocol at the right time for your dog’s unique personality type, level of functionality, and goals. Our training programs are effective, easy to apply, and always designed to be in the best interest of both you and your dog.
Behavior Problems

Obedience
From simple sit-stay to mastering the three phases of the walk, Francis will help you teach your dog obedience in the most effective way possible. You’ll gain deeper understanding, communication, and command with your dog using easy-to-follow training protocols proven to develop strong and effective obedience skills, customized to your dog’s unique personality type.
Tricks
Looking for engaging dog tricks training in the Bay Area? Canine Circus School, serving Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and surrounding communities, offers progressive six-week classes blending obedience, agility, and performance. In Circus 1, dogs learn foundation skills, basic tricks, and simple routines. Circus 2 adds distance cues, distractions, and advanced tricks. Circus 3 introduces agility challenges, synchronized behaviors, stunts, and object work. Finally, Circus 4 polishes these skills into performance-ready routines. Open to dogs of all sizes and temperaments, each level strengthens teamwork, deepens the bond between dog and owner, and makes training fun, rewarding, and community-focused.
Zoom Lessons
Do a lesson from anywhere in the world! Sessions are 30 minutes long and goal oriented. Any subject can be covered but tricks and behavioral problem solving make the best use of this platform.
