Policies
Cancellations, refunds and rescheduling:
Master of Hounds Academy does not issue refunds for class or private sessions missed by the client. Refunds are given only if a client has not yet started their group training class. Cancellations must be made within 10-days of the class start date to receive credit towards another class or a refund, minus a $75 registration fee.
If a class is canceled due to low enrollment or for other reasons, Master of Hounds Academy will try to reschedule clients into an alternative class. If this is not possible, class credit or refund will be issued.
If a client gives Master of Hounds Academy 48-hours notice of their need to reschedule a private training, we can accommodate the request and reschedule the session.
Handler age and responsibilities, children & visitors:
Dog handlers need to be 18-years old or over to enroll in a group class.
We welcome a client’s partner to attend a private training or group class session. A partner that is sharing handling responsibilities needs to attend all classes.
We do not allow a single handler to bring multiple dogs to class. Each dog must be registered for a class with its registered handler.
Substitute handlers are not allowed to attend a class in lieu of the registered handler.
A child is welcome to attend a class or private training session if they are accompanied by another parent or chaperone (other than the handler of the dog). The child and chaperone will observe the class from a comfortable station outside of the training area.
Vaccinations:
Please check with your veterinarian to confirm that your dog is up to date on vaccinations before enrolling in a Master of Hounds Academy group class.
Declines and Referrals:
Master of Hounds Academy reserves the right to decline entry to any dog who presents behavior that is inappropriate or dangerous in a group setting. If you are unsure if your dog would do well in a group setting with other dogs and distractions, please contact us to schedule a private training session for an evaluation.
Photo, video and media rights:
We welcome you to photograph your dog while training at Master of Hounds Academy. No audio or video recording is allowed. Master of Hounds Academy reserves the right to capture you and your dog during training sessions for use on our website, blog, video, and other media opportunities. Smile! And say Fromage!
